What is Project Angel Food?

Project Angel Food is a nonprofit agency that prepares and delivers healthy, delicious meals to people with serious illnesses. The organization also offers nutrition counseling as part of its “Food is Medicine” healing philosophy. All services are provided free of charge.

Who does Project Angel Food Serve?

Project Angel Food serves men, women and children throughout Los Angeles County with serious illnesses and are unable to shop or prepare the food they need to survive. Clients may be battling two or more illnesses, including Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, congestive heart failure, COPD, diabetes, end-stage renal disease, HIV/AIDS, stroke-cardiovascular accident and/or other serious diseases.

Who is Project Angel Food?

Thanks to 4,700+ volunteers and generous donors, Project Angel Food staff are able to provide life-saving meals to 2,100+ seriously ill people in need.

How many meals do they cook and deliver?

Project Angel Food provides 12,000 meals each week and 600,000 every year. To date, Project Angel Food has prepared and delivered more than 11.5 million meals.
